- How do I upload my photos?
Once you have logged in, you will be asked to create a new album or open an existing album. Choose the album you wish to upload the new photos. If you’re a first time user, you’ll prompted to download the Aurigma mass photo uploader (presently available only on Explorer). After you have agreed to download the Aurigma software, you’ll automatically see an altered interface with your computer’s file folders on the left. Choose the folder on the left panel that contains your photos. Those photos will be displayed on the upper panel. Choose the photos you want to be printed, drag and drop them to the bottom panel in the same page.
Once the chosen photos are in the lower panel, click on the Upload button. The uploading time depends on photo file size and Internet bandwidth, as detailed in the answer below.
- What exactly is the Aurigma mass photo uploader?
It is a software that allows you quickly upload photos in batches. It presently is available on Internet Explorer only. It works smoothly, is intuitive and there’s little chance of you getting lost.
- I work on Mozilla browser. Can I not use the Aurigma mass uploader?
The Aurigma mass uploader presently works only with Internet Explorer. The feature will be added in due course. With a Mozilla browser, you need to upload photos individually.
- Do I need to download the Aurigma mass uploader software everytime I use MeraSnap?
No. You need to download the Aurigma software only once (on the same PC). Thereafter everytime you use MeraSnap, it works automatically.
- How long does it take to upload about photos, say a batch of 30?
The uploading of photos directly depends on your Internet connection. In good times, for 30 photos, about 8-12 minutes is sufficient over a good broadband connection. It takes a little longer over an ISDN/DSL/Cable connection.
- Can I start uploading a few hundred photos at one session and go to sleep?
That is not recommended. In the interests of security, your session will be logged out after 40 minutes. If your uploading is not complete within 40 minutes, you can re-login and continue. Your previously uploaded photos will continue to be there in the MeraSnap album you have created.
- How do I view my uploaded photos?
The uploaded photos are viewable as thumbnail images. You can on the thumbnail images for an enlarged version. You can also turn it around or delete the photo from the order if need be.
- What is the ideal file size of the photos for best prints?
At least 500 KB. Sharp prints require photos that are of a high resolution and they are rarely less than 500 KB.
